Our Methodology

How We Teach

Each Lanna Capital programme is built around a simple principle: that adults who come with real questions deserve real answers, not a guided tour of products dressed up as education. Our sessions are structured, unhurried, and adapted to the Thai financial context specifically.

We use a combination of conceptual explanation, worked examples drawn from publicly available Thai fund data, and personal worksheets that participants complete with their own figures. No speculative scenarios. No hypothetical returns. The focus stays on understanding structures, reading documents correctly, and building a framework you can use when the session is over.

Reading Real Documents

We teach participants to read actual fund fact sheets and prospectuses — the real ones, from real Thai fund companies.

Personal Worksheets

Each programme includes exercises completed with the participant's own numbers. Worksheets remain private and are taken home.

Open Discussion

Questions shape the sessions as much as the curriculum does. Groups are small enough for every participant's question to be properly addressed.

Understanding Mutual Funds

Programme One

7 Weeks · ฿3,690 THB

Understanding Mutual Funds in the Thai Market

A seven-week course introducing the structure, fees, and categories of Thai mutual funds. Lessons cover equity funds, fixed income funds, mixed funds, and the tax-favored SSF and RMF categories, with attention to how each tends to suit different personal timelines. The programme includes a fund fact sheet reading exercise and a household allocation worksheet that learners complete privately. Content is framed for learners whose investing life is more likely measured in years than decades, with appropriate care for capital preservation.

What This Programme Covers

  • How Thai mutual funds are structured and regulated
  • Equity, fixed income, and mixed fund categories explained clearly
  • SSF and RMF tax-favored categories and their conditions
  • Reading and interpreting a fund fact sheet
  • Household allocation worksheet (completed privately)
Building a Personal Portfolio

Programme Two

13 Weeks · ฿8,490 THB

The Considered Investor: Building a Personal Portfolio Framework

A thirteen-week pathway for learners who wish to move from fund literacy to a coherent personal framework. The course walks through goal-setting, time-horizon mapping, provident fund coordination, and a simple rebalancing practice. Participants work through a paper portfolio across the programme and close with a written personal investment policy — a short document they can refer back to in uncertain markets.

What This Programme Covers

  • Goal-setting and time-horizon mapping for your stage of life
  • Coordinating a provident fund with a personal portfolio
  • A simple, sustainable rebalancing practice
  • Paper portfolio built and reviewed across the programme
  • Written personal investment policy as the final deliverable
Wealth Stewardship

Programme Three

17 Weeks · ฿10,890 THB

Wealth Stewardship for the Second Half

A seventeen-week deep programme for participants who have accumulated meaningful savings and now wish to consider long-view questions: stewardship within the family, intergenerational planning, charitable intent, and the careful preservation of capital through later years. Topics include Thai inheritance practice, coordination of property and business interests, and the role of trusted advisors. Two optional educational conversations are included, along with a closing personal stewardship document.

What This Programme Covers

  • Thai inheritance practice and estate considerations
  • Coordinating property, business, and financial assets
  • Intergenerational planning and charitable intent
  • Two optional educational conversations with a qualified advisor
  • Personal stewardship document as the programme conclusion

Personal worksheets and exercises remain with the participant. No personal financial data is retained by Lanna Capital after a programme concludes.
